Characteristics
Ecology
Grows in lawns and is common in the southern and central Nordic region. Can form fairy rings visible from a long distance.
Notes
Good edible mushroom, well suited for frying or deep-frying. Use only the caps, as the stem is tough. Can easily be dried and powdered for use as a good seasoning in cooking.
