Characteristics
Ecology
Grows with pine on calcareous soil in pine forest. Very rare. Only found a few times in Sweden, on Gotland.
Notes
Edible, but should be spared as it is very rare in the Nordic countries.
Similar species
Resembles Hygrophorus olivaceoalbus in appearance but is much larger and more robust.
